Rex Hotel – a symbol of the past.
Through out well-chronicled historical events, originally opened as a French garage from 1927 till now, one of the events that visitors might not be so attentively but worthy to know this place used to be American Cultural Center in 1960 during the Vietnam war.

This is a beautiful place with great service. But what made me love the place more is the view from the rooftop ---its simple wonderful. Come here, enjoy the place, service and breathtaking view!
love the elegance
An amazingly elegant hotel with perfect location but the old wing needs some bit of repairs. Service is fairly good. I had some trouble communicating with staff at times because of language barrier, but they were very helpful and accommodating. The room is well-decorated with lots of freebies. The lobby is well set up and spacious .

I stayed at Rex because I heard a lot of great things about it. Also because of its historic value. Honestly, it’s not as grabnd as I heard, but for Vietnam standards, it si very OK and the service is really pleasant. The rooftop bar is outstanding and if you order the spring rolls or the french style pancakes with ice cream you will have the experienced of a lifetime. Cost-wise, it’s worth your money. The location is OK but not unique. I only stayed for an evening so I don’t have that much to say. I would recommend it still
love this place
Speaking of charm, history and hospitality of staff, you would love this place. Rooms are spacious and very clean. They serve you a platter of fruits every morning plus the rose petals on the bed were a nice touch. Breakfast is something to look forward too, and with a wide variety of choices including interesting Vietnamese food. Internet was available at reasonably low price.
