White Waterfall: Longhair Fairy of the Mountains

White Waterfall: Longhair Fairy of the Mountains

Quang Ngai Province in the Central Region of Vietnam is a natural haven of rivers, mountains, waterfalls, relics and architectural works all in one glorious place. Because of this, it is an automatic destination for tourists visiting the country.

The White Waterfall of Thanh An Commune, Minh Long District is something visitors don’t pass up when they’re in the area. Situated 35 kilometers from Quang Ngai City and nestled between the Truong Son Mountain Range, it is also called the Longhair Fairy as it resembles a fairy tossing her long hair in the wind as it falls 40 meters into the ground. The surrounding big mountains and green trees add a fresh and serene atmosphere to the whole scene.

As if the mesmerizing beauty is not enough, at the bottom of the falls are two natural lakes, one hundred square meters big with crystal-clear waters perfect for fishing and swimming. While White Waterfalls has become very familiar among locals, foreign visitors still remain enchanted with the majesty of the whole place: the beauty of the nature, the sweet song of the birds, the orchestra of the animals, and the local people working in the rice fields.

The road to the waterfalls is under construction at the moment but tourists can still go to the area by riding a motorbike or car. But the latter requires you to walk another kilometer before reaching the place. The temporary setback though is nothing compared to permanent experience and memory you’ll have of the beauty and wonder of the White Waterfalls.
