Tourist Assistance Center to Cater Growing Tourism in Da Nang

Because of the growing number of tourist arrivals in central Da Nang city, a tourist assistance center was made available beginning on February 1. Mainly to provide free information about accommodations and tourist destinations, the center also works closely with Emergency Centre 115 for medical assistance and mobile police force 113 to assist tourists in case of emergencies and any other possible problems.

Though already known for the many various places of interests, the increase of foreign tourists coming to the central city is also attributed to the additional flights catered by its airport. Early in the year, Lao Airlines launched a tri-weekly service between Laos’ southern city of Pakse and Da Nang, using a 68 seat ATR 72 aircraft. Beginning March 28, Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Ltd, or Dragonair, will also serve its tri-weekly service from Hong Kong to Da Nang through its 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. From the cham relics, the scenic Hai Van Pass, the Marble Mountains,  the popular Elephant Springs, its beautiful beaches and pagodas, Da Nang is known for many other interesting sites it cradles. It’s no wonder why tourists would flock to this historic city. Launching a tourist assistance center would make anyone’s visit to this side of Vietnam more convenient and pleasant.
