During the recent weeks, Vietnam-based taxi operator Vinasun Corp announced a mobile app which allows their users on-call services, fast booking, easy access to cab information, driver information, travelling time, and several other conveniences.

Compatible with iOS, Android, Windows-based devices and can be accessed even in non-smartphones via SMS, the Vinasun App is seen to compete with the current taxi apps of Uber, EasyTaxi and Grabtaxi. Booking a taxi via the app is pretty straight-forward. One simply has to type in his location and where he wishes to go, then the company will send the nearest taxi to where the user is. All information related to planned route, estimated fare, cab’s number, cabbie’s number, name and photos will be sent to the user.

With this, cost of trip is very transparent. The user is also given the option to evaluate the service after the ride. With all details provided to the user, recovering items left in the cab has become possible and easy. Topping these conveniences is the wide payment options including Visa, Master, ATM and Vinasun cards, coupon and cash. According to Vinasun, they will later extend the app service to Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ba Ria Vung Tau.
