Longest Tet cake served in Nha Trang

During the 1,000th anniversary of ${bigcity_Hanoi:"Hanoi"}, the longest Banh Tet ever was served in ${bigcity_Nha_Trang:"Nha Trang"} on Tuesday. The sticky rice cake was 35 meters long and consisted of 400 kilograms of glutinous rice and 60 kilos of green peas, wrapped into 400 kilograms of banana leaves.

In addition, another 999 smaller Banh Tet cakes, which were about 35 cm long, were also sold at the event.

The sales revenue will be donated to charity restaurants at local hospitals.

The Banh Tet Festival is an annual event in Nha Trang since 2004 when Nha Trang Bay was named one of the most beautiful bays in the world. Since then, the city has been holding the record for the country’s biggest Banh Tet, which is continuously extended one meter per year.
