Investors Encouraged For Tourism Projects in Ho Chi Minh City

In ${bigcity_Ho_Chi_Minh_City:”Ho Chi Minh City”} several big tourism projects are under way, totaling to about $1.65 billion. For this, Saigontourist Holding Co., the company slated for the following projects, are seeking out investors to help fund the major constructions needed for the city. Two considered “smaller” projects are the construction of two four-star hotels, namely the Saigontourane Hotel in the central city of ${bigcity_Da_Nang:"Da Nang"} and Saigon-Phu Tho Hotel in the northern province of Phu Tho. Saigontourane Hotel costs $35 million to build while Saigon-Phu Tho Hotel needs $11 million for its construction.

The “larger” and major projects in this endeavor require an even much larger capital. The Saigon Sunbay and Rach Chiec Residential Multi-Use Complex for starters cost a whopping $1.4 billion and $75 million, respectively. Saigon Sunbay encompasses 600 hectares in Ho Chi Minh City’s Can Gio District while Rach Chiec is proposed to be a high 23-storey building composed of 600 apartments, exhibition-trade centers and a golf course.

The Saigon South Amusement Park and Yacht Marina are another of Saigontourist Holding Co.’s major projects, taking up more than 10 hectares of Ho Chi Minh City’s Nha Be District. Both projects include the construction of a 15-storey skyscraper with 300 hotel rooms and condos, 15 villas, yacht terminals and casino services. Both projects cost $64 million to build.

Saigon-Cam Ranh Resort is another large project of the said company. To be situated in the Khanh Hoa Province, the resort will cover 19.8 hectares made up of 800 apartments, 40 villas, a yacht terminal and other luxurious services. The project entails a capital of $69.7 million.

Saigontourist Holding Co. is presently running more than 100 subsidiaries in the hotel, resort, restaurant and logistics sector. It has a total revenue of over VND10 trillion.

All projects mentioned have already completed their site clearance phases, based on a statement by the company. Saigon Sunbay is proposed to be finished on 2018 still, but the other projects are expected to be completed between 2014-2015.
