Hue City Plans to Install Audio Guide System, E-Tickets and Free Wi-Fi for its Tourists

The (former) Imperial City of Hue is planning to set up an audio guide system, e-tickets and free Wi-Fi to better serve its tourists.

Hue City is a favourite tourist destination because of its historical significance. Nguyen Dynasty, one of the most influential dynasties in world history, ruled in the imperial city from 1802 until the end of feudal Vietnam in 1945. Thua Thien-Hue Province is rich in amazing pagodas and breathtaking natural landscapes. As such, it is important that the government continue to think of revolutionary ways to attract more visitors into the area as well as preserve the culture of Hue.

The audio guide system will be structured in five languages, with English as the major audio guide language. It has yet to be finalized what the other languages will be as well as when it will start operating. The system will be developed both by the local government and investments from the private sector, so it won’t be free. Tourists will also be charged a specific fee for the e-tickets.

The arrival of local and foreign visitors at Hue City continues to rise over time. The planned system is a sure-fire way to boost tourism in the city for a long time to come.
