Golden Hills, a $1.67 billion inland eco-project by Trung Nam Land, will have its groundbreaking ceremony on April 9 in Central ${bigcity_Da_Nang:"Da Nang"} City. The ambitious project will cover a property of 400 hectares in Lien Chieu District, about 10 kilometers south of the center of the city and near the popular Hai Van Pass. The billion-dollar project will include residential areas, commercial centers, supermarkets, hotels, golf course, schools, a hospital and entertainment centers.

According to Trung Nam Land, a subsidiary of private Trung Nam Group, the project will be finished by 2014. The developer has already signed contracts with Skidmore (United States), Owings & Merrill LLP, and Singapore’s CICADA Design Pte Limited, in charge of the project’s design. At the same time, Trung Nam Group also launched a groundbreaking of a 2.7 kilometer road project connecting to Nguyen Tat Thanh Street.

This road will make Golden Hills accessible from Danang’s downtown and tourism areas like Son Tra Peninsula, My Khe Beach, National Highway 1 and Danang’s hi-tech park. Trung Nam Group is a domestic private firm specializing in property, construction and power sectors. It was established in 2004. Golden Hills is just one of its many and big projects. As of date, the giant firm is also investing in a property project in the Central Highlands’ Lam Dong Province and the Vien Dong Meridian residential project in the center of Danang City. Moreover, Trung Nam Group is building three hydropower plants in Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces.
