“Colors of Spring” exhibition by two painters

The exhibition displays 35 artworks in diversified materials like oil, lacquer, water wall, etc. inspiring from spring, a common topic of artists, by Do Hien and Le Thi Hoan. Do Hien was born in 1943 in ${bigcity_Hanoi:"Hanoi"}, graduating from the Vietnam Art University. Joining “Colors of Spring”, the artist chose paintings that praise the country, men and landscapes in the spring atmosphere. “Spring” in his experience is the jubilance and joyfulness of humans and landscapes. Female artist Le Thi Hoan was born in 1945 and also graduated from the Vietnam Art University.

Spring in her paintings is different from Do Hien’s. “Mother’s love” is the major contents in Hoan’s works. Keum Gi Hyung, director of the Republic of Korea Cultural Center, where hosts the exhibition, said: “I feel the similarity in each painting of the two artists. In Korea, spring is the best time in the year which is the inspiration for many artists. “Colors of Spring” shows me the harmony between nature and Vietnamese people, with some specified, unique characters of your country”. The exhibition will be open from April 18 through 27 at the Republic of Korea Cultural Center, 49 Nguyen Du, Hanoi.
